We hear these words all the time, often said with the best intentions. But for someone who is struggling, “keep going” can sound like an expectation to endure without pause, to stay silent instead of asking for help, to push forward even when you’re running on empty.
With #keepgoing, the phrase should no longer mean gritting your teeth and powering through. It should mean:
when you need to, so you can move forward with renewed energy.
whether that’s rest, therapy, having fun, or setting boundaries, so that you can keep showing up for yourself and for those around you.
When someone hears those words, we want them to think of sustainable resilience through self-care.
Svenson has always believed in giving back to the community, as our more than 50-year history would not have been possible without the support of many. Over the years, we have partnered with charity organisations to raise funds for the less fortunate and dedicated our time to those often overlooked.
When it comes to mental health, it is not just a cause, but the very heart of who we are. Our CEO and founder, Ms. Amy Quek, has long believed that true beauty begins with confidence from within, and that is why the brand pursues a holistic approach with our customers.
“Mental health is so important because without that confidence from within, it’s hard to truly see your own value. While we may be in the beauty and wellness industry, I can confidently say that no facial or treatment can replace the self-belief that comes from within.”– Ms. Amy Quek
This belief is carried forward by second-generation owner, Ms. Louisa Leow, who turned conviction into action by launching yearly mental health campaigns to promote mindfulness and raise funds for organisations such as Silver Ribbon (Singapore), SAMH, and the Samaritans of Singapore (SOS).
“Having faced my own challenges with mental health, I truly believe that when we are well-rested and happy, everyone around us benefits. There’s little joy in being with our loved ones if we’re feeling drained, or overwhelmed.”– Ms. Louisa Leow
A collaboration with Silver Ribbon (Singapore) and SAMH, encouraging participants to pledge simple, mindful actions to strengthen their mental well-being.
A partnership with SAMH, spotlighting work-life balance through an interactive online game that helped participants assess stress levels and explore healthier coping strategies.
we hope to redefine what resilience truly means.
