Our yearly World Mental Health Day campaign is here again. In 2025, we’re championing a new theme #KEEPGOING—but we’re here to present it in a different light.

Too Often, “Keep Going” is Understood as Powering Through Hardships at Any Cost

“Keep going, it’ll be over soon!"

“You can do it! Just keep going!"

“Keep going and don’t think about it!"

We hear these words all the time, often said with the best intentions. But for someone who is struggling, “keep going” can feel heavy. It can sound like an expectation to endure without pause, to stay silent instead of asking for help, to push forward even when you’re running on empty.

Living Under a “Pressure-Cooking” Culture

In a fast-paced society like Singapore where hustling is prized and celebrated, extreme tiredness is often normalized as our daily routine.

It has led to the rising mental health challenges with nearly one-third of workers scoring 50, or below on the health check (2024 TELUS Mental Health Index), and 1 in 3 youths aged 15 to 25 experiencing severe symptoms of depression, anxiety, or stress (Ministry of Health).

And these data may just be the tip of an iceberg with many cases left unchecked, undetected, or unreported.

Endurance Without Care is Not Resilience, But Exhaustion

Yet, these struggles often go unseen, suppressing pain and pushing through silence.

You could be one of these people who dismiss symptoms of mental health struggles, not realizing the deeper issues, and slowly sinking into the deep abyss.

That’s why we are reclaiming and redefining the phrase “keep going”.

We Hope to Redefine What Resilience Truly Means

Therefore, when someone hears those words, we want them to think of sustainable resilience through self-care.

#KEEPGOING is More Than Just Raising Awareness

When it comes to mental health, it’s not just a cause, but the very heart of who we are. Our CEO and founder, Amy Quek believes that true beauty begins with confidence from within, and that is why Svenson pursues a holistic approach with our customers.

“Mental health is so important because without that confidence from within, it’s hard to truly see your own value. While we may be in the beauty and wellness industry, I can confidently say that no facial or treatment can replace the self-belief that comes from within.” – Ms. Amy Quek

This belief is carried forward by second-generation owner, Ms. Louisa Leow, who turned conviction into action by launching yearly mental health campaigns to promote mindfulness and raise funds.

“Having faced my own challenges with mental health, I truly believe that when we are well-rested and happy, everyone around us benefits. There’s little joy in being with our loved ones if we’re feeling drained, or overwhelmed.” – Ms. Louisa Leow

In 2025, We’re Partnering – Singapore Association for Mental Health

Established in 1968, the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) is Singapore’s first mental health social service agency that provides a comprehensive range of mental health services.

In support of the World Mental Health Day, we’re pledging a tribute to donate 10% of all proceeds from this campaign towards SAMH—partnering them to improve the lives of persons with mental health issues through rehabilitation and reintegration.
